TAKE NOTICE that a public meeting has been scheduled concerning Township-wide amendments to the Township Official Plan pertaining to Hillside Lot Size policies.

As part of National Hospice Palliative Care Week, the Township of Lake of Bays raised the flag of Hospice Huntsville, which will fly from May 5th to May 11th, 2024. Councillors and township staff joined representatives from Hospice Huntsville to honour the dedicated teams providing hospice palliative care in our area and across Canada.

Please be advised the reduced load limits of 5 tonnes per axle (maximum) on all roads under the jurisdiction of the Township of Lake of Bays have been lifted and reduced load limits are no longer in effect.

The Township of Lake of Bays has launched a new Environmental Projects Grant Program. This grant opportunity will provide financial support to initiatives that directly contribute to enhancing the quality of life for Lake of Bays residents while prioritizing the improvement of water quality and ecosystem health. (Huntsville / Lake of Bays) On April 27 around 7:50 p.m. Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Fighters from Station One in Huntsville responded to a report of a backyard deck on fire at a home on Crestview Dr. in Huntsville.

(Huntsville / Lake of Bays) On April 25th around 7:45 pm Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Fighters from Station Two in Port Cunnington and Station One in Huntsville responded to reports of an electrical heater on fire in a detached garage on Spring Lake Road in Dwight.
